About The Picker Art Gallery

The Picker Art Gallery at Colgate University offers a regular schedule of special exhibitions, lectures, activities for families with children, concerts, and other events, as well as frequently-changing displays drawn from the permanent collection of more than 10,000 objects. Strengths of the permanent collection include the Dr. Luther W. Brady, Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts 1988, Collection of Modern Art; the Gary M. Hoffer, Class of 1974, Memorial Photography Collection; the Theodore and Evelyn Herman Collection of Chinese Woodcuts; the Yevgeny Khaldei Collection of Photographs; the Nast Collection of Political Cartoons; and the Herbert A. Mayer, Class of 1929, Collection of Drawings from Carrolup, Western Australia.
